THERE HAVE BEEN A SIGNIFCANT AMOUNT OF CHANGES TO THE FIXTURES THAT TOMMY POTTER HAS RELAYED TO ME ON 4TH NOVEMBER. MANY INVOLVE THE CUP COMPETITIONS, BUT SOME ARE IN THE LEAGUE TO ACCOMMODATE THE SAID CUP FIXTURES. I HAVE INPUTTED THE CHANGES AND TRUST THEY WILL BE RELAYED TO THE MEMBERS OF YOUR CLUB THAT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE SITE. FURTHER CHANGES COULD WELL OCCUR DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER, SO PLEASE CHECK REGULARLY. THANK YOU.

THE WELSH FA HAVE ISSUED THIS STATEMENT REGARDING "INTERNATIONAL CLEARANCE".
REGISTRATION WINDOW
Further to correspondence between the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and The Football Association (The FA) I can confirm that International Clearance will be continue to be granted to The FA (on written request) for players registered as 'Amateur' (Non-Contract) in Wales until midnight on Sunday September 28, 2008. After this date the FAW will not issue International Clearance to The FA for players until January 1, 2009 when the next Registration Period opens. I can also confirm that the FAW will continue to request International Clearance to The FA (and other National Associations) for 'Amateur' players wishing to register to a club in Wales that participate in a Directly Affiliated League until midnight on September 28, 2008. The FAW will continue to request International Clearance to The FA (and other National Associations) for 'Amateur' players wishing to register for clubs that participate in Non-Directly Affiliated Leagues during the Registration Period conveyed to FIFA, namely, July 4, 2008 - March 26, 2009."

HIGHER BEB JFC HAVE WITHDRAWN FROM THE YOUTH DIVISION. ALL FIXTURES AND CLUB DETAILS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PAPER FIXTURES, THOUGH SEPTEMBER FIXTURES ARE NOT YET OUT AND WILL BE AMENDED ACCORDINGLY BEFORE SENDING.
I HAD OCCASION TO BE INVITED TO THE MONTHLY LEAGUE MEETING AT THE BRONZE CLUB ON SUNDAY 10TH AUGUST. I CAN ASSURE YOU THE COMMITTEE ARE A CREDIT TO THE WALLASEY & DISTRICT SUNDAY LEAGUE. EVERY ISSUE IS DEALT WITH PROFESSIONALLY AND IN A UNIFORMED MANNER. DAVE EDWARDS IS THE NEW CHAIRMAN, AND AS EVER, HIS PRESCENCE AND EXPERIENCE WILL PROVE TO BE AN ASSET TO THE LEAGUE. NEW YOUTH REGISTRAR DEBI REDGRIFT IS CONFIDENT OF HER POSITION, WHICH IS NEEDED IN THE LARGEST OF THE FOUR LEAGUES. THE LEAGUE SECRETARY, AS USUAL, IS A NO NONSENSE LEADER, WHO DESPITE HIS SIZE, IS THE BIGGEST ASSET THIS LEAGUE COULD EVER HAVE! LEAGUE AND FIXTURE SECRETARY, PRESS OFFICER AND LEAGUE WELFARE OFFICER IS AN UNENVIABLE TASK, BUT ONE MR TOMMY POTTER IS MORE THAN CAPABLE OF. LET ME ASSURE YOU, THIS COMMITTEE IS THERE TO HELP YOU, AND ANY PROBLEM PUT TO THEM THEY WILL ENDEAVOUR TO SECURE THE CORRECT RESULT. SPECIAL MENTION TO OUR DISTINGUISHED MR KEN HARRISON OBE, WELL DONE SIR!!! AND DAVE PASSEY, PETER MURPHY AND JOHN O'CONNOR, WHOSE EFFORTS OVER THE YEARS HAVE BEEN INVALUABLE. WELL DONE!!!
Many congratulations are extended to the Referee of the Year for season 2007-2008, who was Wayne Kinnear and we wish him and all his colleagues the very best of luck for a trouble free and successful season ahead.
Reminders: ALL results and requests for information MUST be directed to the League Secretary on the League line – 630 0331 – or by mail to the address detailed above. ALL Senior Club registration and team sheet issues MUST be directed to the League Registrar – Mr Dave Passey – at the address detailed above. ALL Youth Division registration and team sheet issues (which includes the providing of photographic evidence for all Youth players) MUST be directed to the Youth Division registrar – Mrs Debi Redgrift – at the address detailed above. A stamped, self-addressed envelope MUST be included on ALL occasions, especially for the return of counterfoils (which act as a receipt for your club records) and when requesting replies to correspondence.
Insurance – ALL clubs MUST have both individual insurance and Public Liability insurance before they can commence League fixtures and proof of such MUST be provided to the League Secretary by August 1st.
