Billingshurst Summer Seven-a-side League
So that’s it, the curtains have fallen on another season of the 2009 Billingshurst Summer Seven a Side League and an interesting season it has been too.
Congratulations on the teams who won each division, Blind John Allstars, Watersfield, Fittleworth, AJ Walters and The Stags, and well done everyone else for making them earn it.
Once again for me it has been enjoyable, although hard work at times but worth it once again, hopefully you and your players too have enjoyed yourselves, worked hard and it has been worth it to you and them.
My thanks go to all the managers, players, referees, bar staff, kitchen staff, spectators and all those who help set up and take down the goals and of course Kevin Tilley for his help with pitches, goals, refereeing, setting up and taking down the goals, plus collecting rubbish after games as well and doing the speeches on the final nights.
A special thanks to the person who controls the weather, of the 12 nights only 1 was wet and that was not that bad, so a big thank you that man or woman.
Quick note to those teams who owe money who forgot to pay on the last week, please email me and we can arrange payment.
Finally like to wish you all good luck for next season and then plug the new 1 day six-a-side on Sunday 9th August.
