The Sunday Central Amateur Football League (SCAFL) was born in the beginning of season 2010-2011. Originally called the Glasgow Sunday AFL, it quickly established itself as the top Sunday League in Scotland. With interest becoming high from teams much further afield than Glasgow a decicion was taken to rename the league.
The SCAFL is the largest Sunday amateur league in Scotland. We currently have 53 member clubs, with nearly 2,000 individual members of the league. Our aim is to foster and develop the art of football within our highly competitive and well-run leagues. Our current set up is a Premier League of 8 teams, which boasts some of the strongest sides in Sunday football. Our first division of 14 teams, and then a division 2 of 30 teams which will be split into 4 divisions of 8 teams, all of whom have an opportunity to reach the first division via a play-off structure. We encompass teams from all over central and west of Scotland ranging from Dumbarton to Stirling with a host of clubs in the Glasgow area.
