The SWGL Committee has agreed that we would like official referees for all Under 14 & 16 games wherever practical. The information below clarifies the procedure regarding the allocation and communication with referees.

Referees are allocated by the SWGL Referee Coordinator whenever possible with the priority on Under 16 followed by Under 14.

The fixture list for the next weekend will be updated by Wednesday afternoon if a referee has been allocated to the match (see information button on the right hand side of fixture).

The referee should be contacted (see contact details on Referee Directory) to confirm the arrangements by the Thursday before the game.

If there is no referee allocated to your match then you may contact other referees who you have used. No club is allowed to contact those from the Referee Directory unless the SWGL Referee Coordinator has been unable to allocate one for your game.

The fees are £20 pound per game plus 25 pence per mile travel (to a maximum of £10) as per Rule 28 in the SWGL Handbook.

Please also remember to contact the referee to inform if the game is cancelled for any reason to avoid any unnecessary travel and cost.
