Season summary: Rayleigh dominate League and Cup
The 2011/12 season saw Rayleigh emerge as the dominant force in the SCFL, winning both the League and Cup. In eight league games, they scored a staggering 49 league goals, whilst conceding only 17. They finished eight points clear of 2nd place LRBC FC.
Newcomers Hawkwell Baptist, whilst having an enjoyable first season, were unable to challenge for honours and finished bottom of the league.
Six teams competed in the Cup competition, with Salvation Army joining the five league teams. Following the group stages, Rayleigh played Shoebury in an entertaining Cup Final at the Southchurch Arena, Rayleigh eventually claiming victory by three goals to one.
