Northamptonshire Sunday Combination
Greetings from the Chairman

Once again, we are starting a new season of football and I have the pleasure of welcoming new clubs, officers and Committee members into the Northamptonshire Sunday Combination.
At the start of last season I stipulated that discipline and club administration would be our main concerns and those of you who were at the AGM will be aware that clubs and players who do not toe the line face expulsion from the league.
In order to continue trying to improve standards we will be introducing a points system for fines and discipline. Clubs reaching a trigger point will be interviewed and given a warning. Any club or player failing to heed this warning should be in no doubt of the consequences.
However, we also recognise that the majority of our teams conduct themselves in a proper manner and keep the club in good administrative order. As well as dealing with the “bad boys,” we are also looking to reward the “good guys” and the Development Committee is currently discussing the best ways of doing this.
Please remember that the Officers, Committee and our experienced club secretaries are all here to help. Your desire is to play competitive but sporting football and our sole purpose is to provide it. All we ask is for you and your players to work with us in our aim to make Northamptonshire Sunday Combination a league to be proud of and the best in the County.
Lecture over. It only leaves me to thank my fellow Officers and Committee members for all their hard work on your behalf, to hope you enjoy your football and to wish you all every success for the forthcoming season.
