Players age

Teams have been asked to comment on whether they wish to see an amendment to the age rule. As it stands, the rule is clear. ANY game where a team fields a non qualifying team is forfeit to the opposition 1-0.

This does not allow for teams to choose whether a game should be played as a league game or not, the result being predetermined, even if the opposing side goes on to win anyway (as recently happened to both Knebworth and Saints).

The suggestion is that teams have the option to agree to play the game as a league fixture before kick off and then abide by that result. The alternative is to retain the existing rule whereby teams can field two players over 30 but under 35 at any one time, all others to be 35+.
