 Our partnership with The FA

Testament to our success in football was our appointment by The FA as the approved insurance broker to deliver the National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS).  Alongside other products, the provision of personal accident insurance forms a major part of the NGIS.  Together with The FA, we want to encourage this additional protection for all those involved in the game.

 What is The National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS)

 In 2011 The FA reviewed the insurance available to the national game and their research highlighted a range of issues to address:

• There was no uniformity to the provision of insurance across the grassroots game.
• A lack of guidelines or imposed standards.
• In some cases players not having any insurance protection at all. 

Furthermore, it was concluded that the national game had the potential to exploit central purchasing power to help reduce insurance costs.

This review led to the formulation of the National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS) with the aim to significantly improve the insurance available to all those involved in grassroots football.  The FA appointed Bluefin Sport as the approved insurance broker to both develop and deliver the scheme acrossEngland.

In July 2012 the NGIS successfully launched a range of legal liability and personal accident insurance products. 31CountyFAs(over 60%) have actively signed up to support the scheme by helping to promote to their member leagues, clubs and players.
