The league has experienced a recent case of theft from unattended dressing rooms. The LIFL committee recommend that no valuables are left in dressing rooms even if they are locked by home team officials. This unforunate crime is not uncommon in junior football and our advice is to carry the minimum of valuable articles or cash in you pockets or bags when playing any sport. If you cannot avoid this, hand over all your teams valuable possessions to one of your trusted officials or parents. This applies to home teams as well.
We are sorry this has happened in our sport amongst our own teams but we are all responsible for our own actions and lack of precautions, trust or security.
