JSL are delighted to announce the creation of a partnership with Heyside FC to develop new and exciting opportunities for children with an interest in football.

The partnership will work within the Heyside area to enable both club and league to continue to build on outstanding recent success and reach a wider range of children in a joint mission to build a bright future for the next generation of young footballers.

Heyside FC, already well established as the biggest club in the Greater Manchester region, has also recently been acknowledged as the very best, picking up the prestigious 2011 Community Club of the Year Award from Manchester FA and the Oldham Sports Club of the year 2011.

JSL’s initial success in its first year has been superb with its roots now firmly established as a forward thinking mini soccer league focusing on new and exciting small sided formats of the game.

With many exciting mutual objectives already identified, these are exciting times ahead and this partnership is an ideal one that benefits all, providing scope to develop new ideas and bring them to fruition.

Steve Grice, Heyside FC Chairman said “It is easy to work with the JSL concept as it is based on the FA’s long term strategy of growth and retention in a structured way. The long term player development is catered for in the partnership from a young age. The English game is evolving and with the introduction of 4v4 games and 9v9 games it means there is a game pathway from a tender age through to Open Age.  As a coach at Heyside Kevin saw this through the clubs philosophy and JSL is a forerunner in league development. Heyside FC are proud to be associated with such forward thinking leagues and coaching structures as it benefits the players with more touches on the ball and should bring in more players and make it enjoyable for all. This will benefit the games future in England."
