Glasgow Football Cup

Glasgow Football Cup was established in 2009. Among the committee members is Shahz is the Project Managers for the league.
We are a volunteer non-profit Football league dedicated to organizing competitive and recreational Football programs for the over 16 players and amateur in the Greater Glasgow area.
The primary aim of our Cup is to get lads playing football that otherwise wouldn't.
Our Cup is fairly Basic standard, with the best teams probably being able to hold there own in the lower end of the proper amatuer divisions.
However all teams have a few players in them who have played football at a decent level.
We are not a proper SAFA league or Cup, just a self organised one trying to emulate a proper one.
We Just take enough money to cover our overheads the cost of trophies and webhosting.
We run the Cup because we want a competitive kick-about, that doesn't involve as much organisation, commitment and cost as running an amateur side.
Typically the cost of a match is £50 for pitch and for Referee paid by each team and a membership Fee (TBC)
New applications to the Glasgow Football Cup are welcomed from suitable candidates.
The Glasgow Football Cup will consider applications for Clubs running teams provided they match the Leagues standards expected for Discipline, Fair Play and standards of Organisation/Administration.
The Glasgow Football Cup has a strict policy of monitoring the discipline record of players and players whose conduct has not been considered acceptable are subject to their registration being withdrawn.

This site was started in June 30th 2009 and was created by Shahz, from the very beginning it was intended to be functional rather than flashy, in order to promote and allow wider viewing of information regarding the League.
