FORMERS LEAGUE
The Formers League 7 a side tournament will be held on Sunday 26th April at The University of Liverpools sports ground 'Wyncote' which is behind Tesco's at the end of Allerton Road.
The format of the tournament will be sixteen teams split into four groups of four. Teams will play all the other teams in their group with the winners and runners up entering the 'Formers 7 a side Cup' and the 3rd and 4th placed teams entering the 'Formers 7 a side plate' guaranteeing every team a minimum of four games.
Application forms were emailed to member clubs on Friday 6th April and are also available for download from this website from the 'League Documents' link on the left.
The entry fee for the tournament is £30 per team which will cover pitch hire, referees and trophys. To give all Formers League teams a chance to enter a team all current member clubs will be reserved a place in the tournament until Saturday 14th April so please submit your applications by then along with your entry fee. The remaining places will then be offered to new applicants and existing clubs who wish to enter a second team on a first come first served basis. A more detailed program of the tournament will be available once the entries are finalised.
Please note the tournament is to be played on The University Astroturf. No blades or moulded studs are allowed and referees will be asked to check players footwear. Trainers and Astro Boots only!
