FC Gulls 8-6 Barking Eastbury
This was always gonna be a tight game especially with everything to play for.
It was a even start before a good move resulted in Barking taking the lead. There were chances at both ends before Gulls got back on level terms.
Gulls started to exert more influence on the game and took a 4-3 lead into the break.
Barking were finding it harder to play their natural game aginst a very intense Gulls side.
The lead kept changing as both teams unchacteristicly conceeded some soft goals.
Barking led 6-5 knowing a draw would have been enough to secure the League.
However, Gulls who's never say die attitude once more stepped it up in the closing minutes to secure a 8-6 win and clinch the title.
Looking back it was Gulls very late 2 goals against Real Futsal that allowed them to be in a position to play for the title.
Gulls now go on to play in the next round at Epping Sports Centre this Sunday.
TOP GOALSCORER - Chris Bourne - FC Gulls - 31
PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT
Chris Bourne - FC Gulls / Agon Rexha - Barking
Chis has scored goals for fun in this league. He's quickness and left foot shot was a key factor in Gulls staying in the hunt for the titile.
Agon's quick feet and dazzling skills have embarrassed more than 1 defender in this league. I remember one bemused Deportivo defender saying afterwards "I tried to foul him but couldn't get close enough to him!"
