Venue: Clyde Park
Kilrea United 3
Kilrea United and near neighbours Aghadowey shared the spoils in a 3-all draw at Clyde Park.
Kilrea took the lead from the penalty spot through Gary Deighan, but a blistering strike from Mark Dempsey saw the sides go in at the break on level terms.
In the second half, Aghadowey took the advantage before Deighan stepped up to the spot, but this time blasted wide of the target instead of pulling his side back on level terms. To be fair to Gary Deighan, he misses very few from the spot, so his team-mates were in a forgiving mood despite the miss.
However, Kilrea were soon back on level terms, thanks to Stephen Coyles before a shot come cross game Dempsey his second of the day and what looked like the winner.
However, deep into stoppage time, Kieran OgO’Kane scored a good individual goal to earn his side a share of the spoils.
