Welcome to the Central and East Fife Soccer Sevens Association.

The Association was set up in 2001 to provide opportunities for children under 12 years old to play trophy-free football in a positive environment. Following the success of the first two seasons, the third season saw an increase in the size of the Association, and now incorporates four age groups in weekly fixtures. Each of these age groups is now also expanding to cover many towns/villages throughout the Central and East Fife area.

The Development League, set up five years ago, now caters for development of up to the Under 15 age group and it is the intention that it will continue to incorporate age groups moving up from CEFSSA each year.

CEFSSA is intended to exist in tandem with the successful Pitreavie Soccer Sevens in Dunfermline, which has run for several years and caters for children and clubs in West Fife.

CEFSSA operates as an affiliate of the Scottish Youth Football Association, which caters for young players from twelve years up to twenty-one years of age.

The Association leagues will be open to any teams at the relevant age groups. This includes schools, youth clubs, existing youth league teams and new teams altogether. Clubs should note that there is no restriction on the number of teams they can enter in each age category.

The clubs involved in the original set-up were:

Balwearie Soccer 7's.
Cupar Soccer 7's.
East Fife Juniors Supporters Club.
Glenrothes Strollers.

Season 2007-08 has seen CEFSSA receive sponsorship from THE DUNFERMLINE BUILDING SOCIETY to the value of £1000.

From 2006, CEFSSA were involved in developing "The Football Pathway" through the Fife Football Partnership which includes Fife Development League, Fife Youth Football, Fife Council and the Scottish Football Association.

Rothes Juniors FC, LKB Utd. and Lomond Colts are All Quality Mark Clubs. Cupar Soccer 7's and Ladybank Panthers are working towards this Quality Standard.
This gives CEFSSA a strong community structure throughout the area with hundreds of youngsters reaping the benefits of these well organised clubs.
